QUOTES & LYRICS CHALLENGE 3 - MISS

I found this quote by American author and journalist Hunter Stockton Thompson who once said
" YOU CAN'T MISS WHAT YOU NEVER HAD"

He was also known as the creator of GONZO journalism which is a style of reporting where the reporters involve themselves in the action to such a degree that they become the central figure of the story.
Thompson did not lead a very healthy lifestyle (drugs) and did in fact kill himself with a gun in 2005.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE HAD THE DETAILS
Lets look at the lighter side of the quote.
Here is Dolores one of my Doodly Birds, she is known for being a fashionista.
She trawls the charity shops for bargains but now and again allows herself the luxury of window shopping in the better parts of town.  Today she spotted this rather splendid Gucci bag and sighed heavily to herself
"You can't miss what you never had"

The other GONZO we know is Dolores's on/off boyfriend who can't keep his beak out of anything.

Hope you enjoyed the read.

Q&L Challenge 3: Strong and/or Miss

The new words over at The Craft Barn for their Q&L challenge this time are Strong and Miss. I chose Strong for my word. My page ended up as nothing like what I had imagined, but I am very happy with it.
This page was another that I had previously added bits of paint & inks onto. My focal image & quote is from Queen of Your Own Life  Below you can see a close-up of it.
I used all kinds of things on the page because I didn't really know how to achieve what I had initially envisioned. I used gesso, embossing pastes, (pearlescent generic types), stencils, masks, Neo colour 2s, pigment inks, stamping, peel offs, inktense pencils, rub-ons, dried flowers & a date stamp. I think that's all, haha.

Close-up of my image & quote.
Thank you so much for visiting, and if you want to know more about the rules and details of the challenge then go here Q&L details
*hugs* Mo :o)
