Craft Barn Q & L Challenge number 7: Change & Truth

Phew! I didn't think I was going to get this done in time but I started and was finished in about an hour once I knew what I wanted to do.

The Craft Barn's latest words in the Q & L challenge are Change & Truth. We are to use one or both words in our work and use a Quote or a Lyric. I chose to use Truth and found a fab quote from Mahatma Gandhi.

My page is very simple. I used chalks through a doily stencil, sprayed over with cheap hairspray to fix it and then used my wee alphabet stamps to add my quote.

I'm a bit wonky with them, but it's still easy enough to read I think, lol. Finally I edged my page with some pink & some white lacy tape.
Thank you so much for coming to look, I truly appreciate your comments.

  2. Hi Mo, I like the chalk through doily idea and the lace tape coordinates beautifully.
Looks like I might have missed this one unless I get a spurt on.

  5. One of my favourite techniques ! Love the delicacy and precision you get for a multi-coloured look, particularly good with lacy design such as this one. Great page.

  10. I actually LOVE the wonky way you stamped the quote. And it's a very good one, too.

  11. I love the softness you achieved in the background, and I love this quote too. By the way, I found your Wee Man's latest post and loved his entry about his summer excursions. Blessings, my friend!
