Q & L Fourth Challenge: Marriage & Age

The new words from The Craft Barn's Quotes & Lyrics challenge are Marriage & Age. We are to use one or both words in our work and link them to a quote or a lyric. I chose 'Age' as my word, and the quote I have used has no known origin, (that I could find), but it is one I am sure many have heard at one time or another;
'Act your age, not your shoe size'.
I really enjoyed creating this and am mostly happy with it, but I do feel something is missing although I cannot put my finger on what that is. Very frustrating.
I hope you will all visit the other links found on The Craft Barn's blog and spread the love.
Thanks for looking, *hugs* Mo

  1. Well done Mo on completing the task, more than I have done as yet. If I acted my shoe size I would be 8, what a good age to act.
    Must get my thinking cap on now and keep up with you my friend
    Lynn xx

  2. Act Your Age Not Your Shoe size is a lyric from a song by Prince called 'KISS'. I am a HUGE Prince Fan so thank you for such a fun journal page :-) xxx

    1. I've heard that song, but I don't think he 'coined' the phrase. I'm really glad you like it, thanks for visiting :o)

  4. WOW, I like this quote. Not sure I've heard it before, but it's quite true. I always enjoy seeing your art, and am SO glad you have a place to share it. That's a GREAT background, too.

  5. I considered this quote but in reverse... Life would be much more fun if we acted our shoe size!
    I don't think anything is missing from your page but the central image could do with darker colours/black to pop out more off the page.
