Lyrics & Quotes.....Smile & Up

I have joined in with the Lyrics & Quotes Challenge over at  www.thecraftbarn.co.uk
The aim is to create an image using the given challenge words.
The words must form part of either a song lyric or a quote.  So here goes.
My first one is SMILE..... I chose the Nat King Cole song "Smile though your heart is breaking"
My second one is UP....... Do you remember the hit song
"Up, up and away in my beautiful balloon" by 5th Dimension.

For the challenge you can use whatever medium you like and any format.
It could be in the form of a book, tag, ATC etc., you choose.
I've started off in a sketchbook but I probably won't work directly onto the page each time, I will however  put whatever I make into the book so that I've got a complete set.

    1. Thank you Izzy, it was my friend Mo Allan who got me at it after she sent me her alpha challenge book to look at. It's fantastic.

  2. I'm so impressed that you used both words Lynn! Your pages are excellent! I really love the ideas you came up with and it's great to see a Doodly Bird back in the mix. I do remember both songs and they are both favourites of mine :D
I've done my Tag Tuesday tag, so now I can get on with this challenge too, but I know what I'm doing so no stress. Phew! Haha :D xx

  9. Two lovely pages! I adore the combination red, white and blue so both of them are perfect! (even though the blue is missing on the first...) Great idea!

  12. Hi Lynn - two great pages and I love that you have co-ordinated them so well. Fabulous balloon and your little bird has bags of character - great lettering too - got to work on my hand lettering this year (and my typing - I've had to correct four typos already! - make that five!) MMx
