4TH CLASS OF ONLINE ART COURSE

I chose this class as I have not worked in watercolours and thought I would challenge myself. So I hooked upto to TAMMY GARCIA's - WATERCOLOUR PLAYGROUND.
Here is a link to her blog - www.daisyyellowart.com
Typical me went charging in like a bull in a china shop and didn't follow instruction properly, only realising when I had finished the piece.  The lesson was about BLENDING.  What did I do.... straight on the page with each colour instead of varying the intensity of each one and seeing what affect a wetter brush/drier brush would have.  Anyway not to worry I can always do another piece.
Lesson one was just a test piece to get us used to using the paints and a brush.
Once dry I added acrylic paint and a black liner pen to create stitch marks.  If you have read previous blog posts you will know I am sticking with an embroidery theme through out the course as it will act as design ideas for my stitchwork.
Forward thinking I thought this piece would make a nice book cover for the pages I will be doing over the next lessons in this class. Hope you like it and are feeling inspired.

Don't forget to add  your artwork to our FLICKR PAGE in the side bar.  Better do it myself  while I am thinking about it.

  1. This really is lovely Lynn! And modest as ever, you didn't mention that Tammy wants to feature your work on her blog later this month or June; quoting directly from Tammy,
"I'd love to share your work at Daisy Yellow in my workshop update at the end of May or June, just let me know if that is OK! No worries if it is not."
    Nice one Lynn!! Mo xx
