21 SECRETS ONLINE ART COURSE

I have started this online course where 21 teachers give online tuition in different art techniques through projects.  You can do as many or as few as you like over the coming months.  Via the website you load up images of your work and other members can comment.
My first project run by Joanne Sharples was to make an art book from fabric and to include stitched words on the front cover.
I intend using it to draw and record my embroidery work.  Here is my first page.
My next class run by teacher Ro Bruhn centres around using recycled envelopes.  I have made a book from ones I collected, trimming them down first.
Again sticking with the embroidery theme I will be filling it with postcards and images of the work of textile artists I like and some embroidery samples as well as drawings.
Here are some flowers painted using acrylic paint pens and the inside of  used envelopes.
On this page Ive mimicked in paint pens the dress of the girl and I will make a piece of embroidery to match then insert  into the window at the bottom corner of the book.
Mo Allan and Annisart are also doing the course and we will be featuring some of their work too I hope.
Try linking across here if you are interested in the course.

  3. I love what you've created in both classes. I think it's great that you've taken the basic idea then turned it into something different. Thanks for taking my class.
