SKETCHING ONTO BLACK

Here's an idea you might like to play with.
Its been a favourite of mine for years.
Get yourself a sketchbook with black pages.
I use pencil crayons on mine.
 Its good fun.
Don't forget to show us your pages
on the Sketchbook Friends Flickr page.
Or leave a link in the comments box below.
 Nearly Merry Christmas everyone.

  1. I haven't seen a black sketchbook. Where does one acquire one? I have lots of paint and stuff I could utilise.

  2. Hmm - I think I'll try colouring a sheet of my paper with black gesso and see what I can create on top of that. Great challenge Lynn, I love all the ones you have created. Are they new or ones from previous work? Mo :0) xx

    1. This book is one of three I created while doing my HND in Textile Design. During the holidays we had to do a page a day. The other two I did during the summer break. You might struggle if the surface is not smooth Mo but I look forward to what you come up with. If you have some black craft paper you could try it on there. Good Luck xx

When I Gessoed this side, no matter how careful I was, some managed to seep onto the other side, so I have another black side to do another time. Any tips on not getting paint onto the other side of paper will be gratefully received :0)) Mo xx
