Thank you Karen for letting us use your pictures.

FANCY ANOTHER CHALLENGE ?

I recently sent a copy of Sara Midda's
South of France - A Sketchbook
to my friend Mo up in Scotland.

Sara draws in miniature
 So here's the challenge
Fill your pages with miniature drawings
It doesnt matter what the context is or the medium
 Its entirely upto you.
I look forward to seeing what you do
Post your pictures on the SKETCHBOOK FRIENDS GROUP FLICKR PAGE
Or email them to me at  hollandweld@o2.co.uk and I will do it for you.
Here is another of Sara's books
and strong rumours have it that a new one is due at the publishers soon.

Here is a You Tube video I found of the inside pages of South of France - A Sketchbook

Don't forget to show us what you are doing in your books.
Keep them photo's coming.
Anika is still working on a PATTERN A DAY, you can see them on the Flickr group page.  She has great imagination.

Let me know if you would like to see anything featured or you have something to contribute.

  4. Loving all the entries for the new challenge! I've emailed you, Lynn, with a page from my zentangle journal that you might like to include - not a new pic, I'm afraid. If I have time and energy, I'll think of something on this theme to add to my art journal.

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - yes, I could have shown them my journal but as it's supposed to be "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday" I thought I'd better show them something I'd done as near Wednesday as possible - I'd just cleared the whole desk so otherwise there'd have been nothing to show at all!

  5. I've now managed to suss out Flickr (with help from their help desk) and am now uploading and creating sets like a pro (well, almost...). I've just uploaded 3 pictures of sets of miniature zentangles that might do for the miniature challenge - they are not drawn all together in one book but I've collected them together on "virtual pages" - not sure if this counts or not! I did a series for coasters, and also quite a lot of ATCs.

  6. Thanks for your visit and your nice comment on my blog, Lynn. I started the first page of the album tonight and it's going well - it's a huge project with masses of work involved but it is going to be fun! I am pleased with how the paper bag pages have turned out, and they are large enough for plenty of extra bits and pieces to be included. Watch this space, as they say!!

  7. Thanks for your latest lovely comment, Lynn! The blow-by-blow accounts I do on my blog are as much for my own benefit as anyone else's as it helps me remember what I did if I ever want to do anything similar. Nil progress today as I've been at Mum's most of the day and this evening too exhausted to do anything! Hopefully tomorrow I'll do some more.
